The accident happened at 6:55 pm at about 3 nautical miles from Laem Ngob. Pol Maj Gen Kritthapol Yisakhon, the marine police chief, said the marine police and the Navy have dispatched boats to the spot to take up the tourists from the fishing boat. By 9:30 pm, the official boats took up the tourists from Koh Poo in Tambon Nongkhasong in Trat.
