That site is blocked here on every ISP I've ever had, in two cities. A VPN must be used, which isn't going to show Thailand as the country accessing the site. PornHub has to be making up these stats for the sake of media attention. It doesn't make technical sense otherwise.

I have discovered through extensive late night research that the site is totally accessible with no VPN just not the main domain name. PM me if you need to know how. I went to my tailors last week, to get a waistcoat made. I had to show him what i wanted. He clicked on the computer, and i showed him what he had to make. His computer showed so many porn sites, it was untrue. His penchant was for Japanese school girls. I didn't let him know that i had seen his stuff.I believe in an Englishman keeping a good relationship with his tailor doncha know.Upon my soul sir, my tailor is more important than my wife. reenatinnakor
Don't see the point of vr porn and having to wear some weird device whilst knocking one out. I much prefer sitting in front of my 50 inch TV and watching a POV scene goggles free... Much more enjoyable.

How do you think it is that you can view a product on Amazon, then suddenly that exact product starts to magically appear in ads all over the web? Think that is coincidence? This is the magic of cookies. PH does not need to use your IP address to track your location, and in many cases likely chooses not to, as it is somewhat dubious to begin with - many people browse porn over VPN, IPs change locations over time, etc., etc. Almost certainly, PH is using both IP and cookie tracking codes to determine people's locations (and more). If you truly understood the depths of tracking of your web browsing that is going on, it would rattle you. So no need to call BS on PH. Better to question the use of cookies and the tracking going on at every level by every major website and the advertisers.

Not calling B.S. on it but if this tracking is so advanced why do certain sites fall for it. I mean cookies could then be used to block people from watching IP TV if they are not in the UK. I would be forced to use steam(can buy games and software there) in Thai baht instead of Euros and able to use my Ideal payment method. So I do believe you.. but I wonder how watertight it is. I haven't seen VR porn just yet.. but if it comes close to the huge difference it makes in games your losing out on a lot of things. VR really blew my mind for games. I was never much of a gamer (only strategy games) but now games are just so much more fun and so life like. I bet you VR will become more mainstream in 5 years or so and you will be eating your words. Though if its good for porn.. not sure as part of my VR device i got hand controllers (tracking the movements of your hands) I doubt they would be comfortable if you were to spank the monkey

Find the country you are not getting traffic from (because its blocked) then put out some fake figures to get in the news in that country, raise awareness, people will want to be part of it, get a vpn etc. The study says "country where VR is most popular", not actual views. Australia recently blocked pirate bay and traffic to piratebay (via vpn, proxy etc) has increased 10 fold due the the exposure the site got in the media reports. Before the ban 20% of Australians knew about piratebay, after the ban 100% knew about it.

It is certainly not "watertight". It has all sorts of issues. And you need to either be a part of that ecosystem, or pay for the privileges. As PH is a part of the ecosystem (major internet advertising players), then they are likely to have better access to information and lower costs. Furthermore, for certain technologies, such as IP TV, you do not always have complete access to the standard HTTP header information, which leaves you high and dry for the cookie data. As for Steam and payment, this is more likely due to payment processing limitations. My company sells subscriptions into the USA, and we would love to take credit card payment directly, as opposed to using PayPal. However, NOT ONE US credit card processor will allow a Thai company to use them for credit card processing. They will only work with US corporations, and companies in places like Europe, Canada, Australia and Asian countries like Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. Sadly, Thailand is deemed "high risk".
