PHUKET:-- The motive behind an attack on a toilet attendant in Patong by a group of foreigners remains unclear as the victim has refused to a file a complaint.

On May 3, a Facebook user offered a reward of 5,000 baht to anyone who could help him find the foreigner who allegedly refused to pay a 10 baht fee to use a toilet on Bangla Road.

Patong Police managed to learn the name of the foreigner involved and the fact that he was American. He has already departed Thailand.

So chasing and attacking with a knife is not a punishable offense?  One thing to slash the guy when the guy was attacking him, but to look for the knife as seen in the video and chase after him to slash him, sure seems like a serious offense was committed.

Yes, the way they identified the American was because he sought medical treatment for his knife wounds.

Once again the regular TVF posters who believe anything (10yo, 10 baht, really!), and rush into print to condemn, and demand medieval type punishments, are left with egg on their faces.

But its fun to sit on the sidelines and watch them get all a-froth!

Seems a number of crimes were committed if TVF posters are to be believed.

The attendant was a peeping tom taking photos of ladies in the toilets.

The American cannot take the law into his own hands and seriously assault someone. He should go to the authorities. Would he do that in the US?

The assaulted person cannot retaliate with a knife and seemingly did so inflicting injury.

But no doubt, as the American has gone home, the attendant won't file a complaint, it's cased closed.

And Facebook account closed ("tohee.seesa" isn't available).

Probably little peeping tom didn't tell his father the whole story :whistling:
