I am not recommending that anyone installs the entire repository, just the addons that people specifically want until the dust blows over and new homes are found for the orphans.

You can't install any specific addon from SR without installing the repo first. From the moment you install the repo it will mess up several addons installed already on your system.

Me, and many others in the Kodi world, been there and got the T-shirt and on the Kodi groups it is repeatedly advised to stay away from SR.

Anyway, everyone to it's own, I have explained my experience and which was confirmed once again only 2 days ago when I had to fix someone's setup because he had installed an addon through SR.

Which is why I posted a link to the SR archive and its contents.

As in the example I provided above for the Exodus addon, you can download the individual components of the addon to a local device and install from there, rather than downloading the entire repository and risk messing up your system.

Try it out... it does work.

Apologies, I didn't check the link, as I thought you had posted a link to the repo itself.

That said, one will also have to install the Exodus repository from that archive, if he wants his addon to update after install.

The most recent Exodus in the archive is 3.1.15 and Exodus updated yesterday to 3.1.16

Kodi Addons Taken Offline: Repo Online/Offline Status

by Admin | Jun 12, 2017 | Kodi News

Check out below for the latest status of Kodi addons taken offline, new repository homes, and the online/offline status of all your favourite Kodi repos.

Since the news broke last week that Dish Network was going after Kodi addons, there has been a lot of shuffling and tons of Kodi addons have gone offline, relocated, or still have an unsure future. Read the full list below of Kodi addons taken offline and the online/offline status of popular Kodi repositories.

Note that if you have these addons installed already, they will continue to function IF they are scraping websites on the internet for links. Playlist addons that require developers to maintain on a daily basis can be taken down instantly.

We tried to be complete on the list below as best we could. For the most part, addons not in this list after functioning as normal OR are down because of regular Kodi issues (broken addon, broken links, your Kodi box is outdated, etc).

Fusion (central repository) – Intermittent – After the Dish Network news broke, fusion went offline. Maintenance is currently being performed on it and we expect it to be fully back up later this week. It is up and down, so you may be able to access it during some points of the day, but reliability is <50%. Most of the addons and repos below were in Fusion, so we should have a clearer picture of all Kodi addons taken offline when it comes back online.

  • Blazetamer (Velocity) – Offline
  • Bubbles addon – Offline
  • DandyMedia (DandyMedia, 1080p Addons, Film Emporium, HEVC, etc) – Online
  • Echo (Documentaries, Sportie, Echo Guide, etc) – Offline forever
  • Evolve – Online – NOTE: Live TV and sports are offline.
  • Exodus – Intermittent – Exodus is in the fusion central repository, so its status is tied to the status of Fusion above
  • Made In Canada – Online
  • Metalkettle (Decado Documentaries, Sports Mix, TV Mix, Happy Movies, Gobble, etc) – Online – New repository.
  • Motor Replays addon – Online
  • Mucky Duck (M4U, FMovies, 123Movies, etc) – Online
  • Natko (Castaway) – Offline
  • NoobsAndNerds (Bob, Elysium) – Semi-Online. The NaN server is down for maintenance, but you can install addons from their repo via a temporary link.
  • One242415 – Offline forever – The addon is official being shut down forever. Straight from One242415 in his addon: I am removing my addon for good. It was a hell of a ride for me. First starting off with Navi-X, then with Mashup, then with Phoenix, and for two months with my own add-on. Thank you all for supporting One242415!! PS: I will not be back I’m closing down for good! This addon will be closed within a few days
  • Planet MMA addon – Online
  • PodGod Repo (cCloud, Pro Sport) – Offline
  • Shani (Zem TV) – Offline
  • Sportsdevil – Offline. Future uncertain.
  • Tknorris (SALTs, 1Channel) – Offline
    • SALTs - Development of SALTs is moving on from tknorris to k3l3vra.
    • 1Channel – See above, 1Channel has also moved to k3l3vra’s repo.
  • Xbmchub (USTVNow, Velvet Hotdog, Phoenix) – IntermittentXbmchub is still in the fusion central repository, so its status is tied to the status of Fusion above.
    • Phoenix – Offline forever – The addon is being shut down forever. From Cosmix: In light of current events we have decided to close down phoenix. This is not something that was easy for us to do; we have all formed a bond that cannot be broken as a team and have a HUGE support base that we are thankful of. I can speak for myself when i say thank you to everybody that has ever been involved in phoenix and it will always be one of my fondest memories.
  • UK Turk – Online – New repository.
  • Ultimate (Ultimate IPTV) – Offline
  • Vortex – Online – New repository.
  • XunityTalk (Easynews, iStream, Football Replays) – Online

is ares wizard any good as a one-stop place for maintenance and add ons…tried getting exodus fm there but did not happen.

Saying "Ares Wizard" seems to imply that this is a custom build in itself and it's not, it's simply a Kodi program addon to simplify maintenance, backup and restore builds, cache tweaks, etc. It does however contain some custom builds and repositories which also contain addons.

In the "Kodi For Dummies" thread I outlined how to install a build from the Ares Wizard - see here.

I would imagine that most of the builds listed within the Ares Wizard do contain Exodus as it is one of the most popular Video Addons for Kodi.

As the Ares Project is hosted in the UK I would recommend downloading a build and installing it in the morning Thai time, whilst the majority of the UK is asleep and bandwidth is more available.

I usually get my Exodus addon from the Fusion Installer, however that repository is on the tvaddons.ag website which is intermittently available at the moment. I have not been able to find Exodus 3.1.16 yet which is why I posted the link to the SR archive where you can get 3.1.15. I did post earlier how to get it (see here) but you have to be extremely patient while the individual components download... it does take an extraordinary amount of time.

Thanks

This add-on requires F4MTester.. yes have that...........  always have the problem on 17.3  Install from Zip file > = cannot find zip....  > do you want to save anyway ?  so have lots saved but not found  downloaded zip files...... as said simple and so easy on all before Kryton...   maybe should uninstall 17.3 and start all over again,, still have 15.2 on PC anyway.. just have things running well on a Android box 16.2 which cannot appear to get on PC kodi 15,2..

P.S. as all the downloads + addons for 17.3 are in one folder, can see the zip file are there,  but in Kodi they cannot find them

If you have added the source correctly you should be able to find it.

If you are intending to completely uninstall Kodi just check first to see if you have the "Fresh Start" addon under Program Addons.

Vanilla Kodi 17.3 unfortunately does not come with a reset function but this addon will if you have it. It is part of the Fusion package.

Otherwise make sure that you remove all preferences, addons, sources etc. when you perform the uninstall.

I'm sure it doesn't say that, because if there is no zip file found there is also nothing to save.

What it says is " couldn't retrieve directory information, would you like to add anyway?"

This happens when adding the source, and is because you didn't enter the source details correctly.

Nothing to do with Kodi 17.3 either.

Most addons you can't install any more on 15.2, because the dependencies are not met. You shoukld always update to the latest version, otherwise you will not get updates any more.

You still get updates in 16.1, but most addons will not update any more in 15.2, and will stop working at some point in the future because the sources have changed with the updates.

For a fresh Start you clear data in the Android > settings > downloaded apps > Kodi

In windows you remove the Kodi folder in users > appdata > roaming, much safer than using an addon to do fresh start.

The Fresh Start in the latest version of Ares Wizard is known to have bugs

TV addons is down probably for good now that they are feeling the pressure from Dish Network, so no Exodus as Lamda has said he will not be maintaining the site anymore.  Unofficially Exodus is available through other sources but as there is no backup will not last.  Until this court case is settled one way or the other all the devs are playing a wait and see game.

TV addons has moved to new servers and is test running currently.

Exodus has it's own repo and has never been offline, though the repo can currently not be downloaded because TVaddons is offline, it is still maintained and got updated on 12 June.

I have just checked the Ares Wizard (release 0.0.57) and the Exodus addon is available there at version 3.1.15.

Select Browse Addons > Video Addons and you will see it listed.

As I said earlier, I usually get the latest Exodus addon (now version 3.1.16) from the Fusion Installer, however that repository is on the tvaddons.ag website which is intermittently available at the moment.

As a general maintenance tool the Ares Wizard is very good.

Key functions are as follows:

  • Browse Builds – Build List in 3 Sections – Ares hosted listed first
  • Browse Addons

Video add ons

Program Add ons

Repository Installer

Android Apps

Android IPTV Apps

Android Launchers

Android Games

Kodi Forks & modified versions (includes FTMC & CEMC)

  • Maintenance Section (thumbs, cache, packages)

Maintenance reminder options (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)

  • Backup

Many options including Favs, Sources, Advanced Settings, GUI, etc.

Addons Settings (save between builds)

  • Tweaks

Url patches – Primewire /Icefilms

Cache Setup (helps with VoD buffering, completely automatic video cache tweaking)

Advanced Settings Wizard

  • More

Upload Kodi log

Internet Speed Test

Erase data/fresh start (for installing new custom build)

  • Settings

General – device ID etc.

Build – check for update settings – options to keep Favourites and Sources

Stats – how much as been cleared etc.

Backup – set destination to local storage device

An adult content filter

If everything is okay as you say then why has their Facebook page shutdown and on searches for them no DNS servers either. Moving servers maybe but in
light of facing a multi million dollar lawsuit, I'm not so sure.  https://torrentfreak.com/kodi-turmoil-continues-as-tvaddons-mysteriously-disappears-170613/

They were DDOS attacked so they took everything offline and are moving servers and upgrading security.
Simple easy explanation so instead of crying the sky is falling try doing a little research first [emoji106]

Are you sure you don't make any spelling mistakes when entering the source and put http:// in front of it?

Or are it sources that are down currently. FYI Koditips is up and running

OK... step by step try this out:

Once you've added your source, navigate to Addons and select Install from repository:

Capture_21.jpg

Then select the KodiTips.com Repository (or whatever you named it when you added that source):

Capture_22.jpg

Then select Video add-ons:

Capture_23.jpg

Then select the Made in Canada IPTV addon:

Capture_24.jpg

Then click Install:

Capture_25.jpg

Then wait until you see the message "Addon Installed" on the screen.

Capture_26.jpg

Next, navigate to Addons, select Video Addons, and you should see Made in Canada IPTV listed amongst your other addons.

My research is as good as anybody else's , different sources maybe, these are all opinions not fact. As I said we will see what happens when the dust settles.

As far as I know Ares wizard is not an official server for TV addons ag and are using an unofficial link to the old Exodus app, which according to Lamda will not be officially open in the near future.  He has not handed over the Exodus app to anyone (Official), so anyone who is trying to benefit from his absence will be doing so illegally.

exodus will not install via ares, neither will 1 channel or salts.

wonder if they are hosted on other repos?

i know they are on kodi israel repo but I've heard some disturbing stuff about that repo so uninstalled it ages ago.

Fact is tvaddons put out a statement saying they are working on updates so I guess your research isn't actually as good as you think so you can pin that as factual.[emoji6]

As far as exodus goes he has upped it to a different server while fusion is offline. Again your research is flawed.
Also to state that anyone that is supplying it is "benefitting illegally" is hilarious. You do realise it's an illegal addon that streams illegal content right? [emoji23][emoji23]

Your research is so good that you don't even know the name of the original developer. Its Lambda FYI.

Lambda agreed way back in February that TV addons would continue to develop Exodus.

lambda4.png

However, shortly after, the TVADDONS twitter account posted:

As a result of recent incidents with an abusive box seller, lambda is retiring. His latest version of Exodus is verified to be clean.

The development of Exodus and Phoenix will continue at the helm of other members of the TV ADDONS team. It will grow and improve!
