Robin
I read somewhere, I think on a Thai Gov web-site, that to get a non-Im O visa, to turn into a retirement visa, it is now required that the applicant proves that he does not have a criminal record. I can see how to do this if I apply in my own country, UK, but what if I try for this visa in a local country? Am I required to get No Criminal Record proof from UK first, or what? Since I am in Thailand on a retirement visa, the original non-I'm visa was issued some year ago, am I going to be asked for NCR proof when I next extend this visa? ubonjoe
A criminal background check is not required to get a non-o visa at a embassy or an extension of stay based upon retirement at immigration, Only a OA visa issued at a embassy or consulate requires a the background check and medical certificate.
