JOC
Got a friend who lives in Roi Et....At the moment he is in Bangkok to extend his retirement visa, because he has been told by his "lawyer"...that because the first visa was issued in Bangkok ...the following extensions have to be in Bangkok as well....The "lawyer" helps him with the paperwork...for a small fee of course.. With address in Roi Et is he even allowed to extend in Bangkok?
Lamkyong
if he has officially informed immigration of his change of address to ROI ET then he can do there
ubonjoe
If he was issued 90 day non immigrant visa entry at Bangkok immigration it is not mandatory that he do his extension there. The extension has to be issued at the designated office for where he is living. Bangkok immigration will not accept the application if the TM7 form has his Roi Et address on it. Tanoshi
If the lawyer does his extension in Bangkok, your friend won't be able to make 90 day reports at Roi Et unless he files a formal change of address using form TM28. They will also require a TM30.
