pattayadude
nice photos john.I wonder what degree of motivation the government needs to haul away all that already-beached-crap in trucks. or maybe they think it's necessary to display it a few more years to millions of more tourists: "Look people of the world! This ISN'T how you build a marina!"

Actually I think that's a very good solution..at night time or special occasions they could show other things... bit like the newish high rise on Jomtien second road ( don't know its name ), during the day totally unassuming but at night a vibrant light show to rival Hong Kong... albeit just one building as opposed to the whole bay. I don't need to go to the actual viewpoint. I am in a condo about the same height of the viewpoint and look across at it. I have a somewhat similar view of the back of Waterfront as the viewpoint has. Yes, Waterfront is imposing and dominating--it was meant to be. It is the signature building of Pattaya in the most important location--which called for a statement building. Yes, it blocks some of the ocean, as other buildings do, as well. Yes, it blocks some of my view of the ocean, too. But, there is plenty of ocean view that is not blocked. And, as I said before, the important view of Pattaya Bay and the breathtaking view of the sweep of the coastline with the city skyline in the background, is not blocked at all--gorgeous day and night. champa
Pictures from viewpoint of Khao Pra Tamnak in the old time. This location show panorama scene, the crescent shape of Pattaya beach. Compare to the current viewpoint. This is not funny for local people. We are serious on this issue. The high rise building devalues the identity of Pattaya bay. Plans change, partners change, interests change, lifestyles change and answer to your question: I couldn't care less if this project gets built or dynamited. But. i'm not gonna lie, I will most likely be interested in buying a corner 2 bedroom if it ever gets built..You can't beat the location and its value! Cheers! Do you mean unique in Columbia? As my penthouses with hydrotherapy massage baths, barbecue and outdoor furniture in Capri, Cyprus and Lima must be figments of my imagination.
