PeaceBlondie
Did I see a Changers-Bangers restaurant lately, maybe on the outer moat road going toward Tha Pae Gate? I thought that other place was "Pete's on the Look-Out."

Following the format of the others, guess it must be Phitsers. Changer definition:noun > one who only drinks Chang

jomama
HiDoes anyone know if Changers is slang for Chiang Mai Reply much appreciated It's British baby talk...I can't figure out if they talk that way just when they are sober, because that's not often enough to get a decent sample, or whether it's all the time. An English family I stayed with used to have "pudds" after meals -- short for pudding, which we Americans would call dessert. Have some pudds in Changers...sounds rather infantile. Perhaps it has to do with their early toilet training and the overall condition of British bathrooms.
BlackArtemis
I never understood why some British people talk like this, I agree with jomama on the infantile comment. Just speak out the full name, it's not hard at all. I know not all of you Brits talk like that, the majority that do are probally from Essex
