Stocky Posted July 27, 2017 Share Posted July 27, 2017 It's the start of the Hajj, so if you're using Hat Yai airport between 26 July – 2 August 2017 and then again 12 – 22 September 2017 allow extra time for travel. The lucky Hajjis that get to go are seen off and then greeted back by most of the village; so there are many hundreds of well wishers crowding the airport. They make a day out of it and take a picnic too, so the carparks are full, the security check lines for vehicles entering the airport and then again security at the doors to the airport are all long.
