Sidegra side effects

Hello. I was wondering if anyone else has had side effects from the cheaper generic Viagra-sidegra in Thailand. I had some terrible headaches and also a migraine where I saw rainbow floaters. This was after using it.

I wonder if anyone else has noted this.

Many have reported less side effects using genuine Cialis in which the active ingredient is Tadalafil rather than the Sildenifil in Viagra and it's clones.

Beware that there are many counterfeit copies of Cialis sold in Thailand.  Buy only at an established chain like Boots and look for a hologram seal on the package.  Close to B2000 for 4 tablets so not cheap.

The generic version is available and much cheaper. Buy from pharmacies only

I just bought some from a pharmacy in saphan mai, my local pharmacy told me no, go to hospital, went down the street and they sold me one box for 90baht.

side affect is just rush of blood and hard downstairs- drink with alcohol and ur blood is thinner, pumps around ur body much quicker and will give you some crazy head rush, don’t do it unless ur complete wankered and will just fall asleep

Iv worked in some places in London city center, upmarket which I would think twice about.

at least you can see them grilling or cooking the food on the street? Iv never been sick from it ever.

only thing iv been sick from in Thailand is drinking white shitty whisky or red whisky, tots my stomach

Not really.  I doubt that Thai food will kill you, whereas taking Viagra without prior screening by a doctor could result in your death from a heart attack...

That can happen with brand name viagra too, it is due to the vasodilator effect (which is how the drug works). Generally not recommended for people with history of migraine or other vascular headache.

When on holiday in Thailand I use "Apcalis-sx20" (a Cialis generic). I also take medication agaist high blood-pressure.
I asked my GP if those 2 medications would not cancel each other out (as a side-effect, so to speak).
I am getting only evasive answers, like: "If you don't take Cialis too often, it shoulden't be a problem"!
How much would be "too often", under these circumstances?
Thx & cheers.

I asked the same question a few years ago (generic Cialis vs Amlodipine) and was told that the 2 drugs act in different ways and would not conflict.

Thx Jip99. Was told exactly the same thing a couple of years ago. I am still confused as to how some drugs can lower "blood  pressure" while at the same time taking drugs to increase blood-pressure (Cialis) to achieve certain effcts. HeHe!

I dont think its much to do with brand name or generic, they both contain so many grams of the active ingredient. Same as Panadol or generic paracetamol.

The fake ones more than likely contain no ingredients other than flour and water.

completely wrong! the main ingredient of the brands "Viagra" (Sildenafil) and "Cialis" (Tadalafil) are so dàmn cheap that the producers of generics (called often "fakes") even increase the dosis to expand their market share.

example: Sildenafil 1kg sells for 750-800 US- Dollars sufficient to produce 10,000 (ten thousand) pills!

another wrong assumption. Viagra and Cialis are expanding blood vessels and are therefore lowering blood pressure.

So you are saying the generics will label the box 100mg but put 110mg in ? Generics still need to pass FDA approval etc to be on the shelf in the pharmacy. Generics are made by legitimate Pharmaceutical companies.

There seems to be a lot of confusion between generics and fakes,  There are generics for every drug on the planet, once the patent runs out for the original manufacturer other pharmaceutical companies start making it.

Fakes on the other hand could contain anything.

Do generic manufacturers of paracetamol put in more of the active ingredient to increase market share ?

What you were told is correct.

As others have mentioned, Cialis and other ED drugs do not raise BP, they tend to lower it.

However no increase in side effects has been found among people taking most antihypertensive medications and ED drugs. The one thing that must be avoided are drugs which lower blood pressure through the same mechanism as ED drugs i.e. vasodilation - these would be nitrates  (nitroglycerine, nicorandil, glycerol trinitrate and related drugs) which are more often used for angina than hypertension .

Many of the people taking ED drugs are on antihypertensive medication as anti-hypertensives often cause impotence as a side effect.

Best to check with a doctor regarding the safety of ED drugs if you have any underlying medical conditions especially cardiac ones. (In any event prescription is required by law in Thailand for ED drugs).

on what planet do you live? the Indian manufacturer Ajanta Pharma (6,500 employees) of "Kamagra" (ingredient Sildenafil) gives a flying fart what about the FDA?

Just now, Sheryl said:

But Kamagra is not licensed in Thailand. And those formulations that are, are first approved by the Thai FDA.

let's make a list of the things which are not licensed but exist in Thailand and then discuss the list in a few years when the job is half done.

In reality that makes 4 variables, Brand name, Generic, Generic (not approved)from another country or fakes.

In theory there should be no difference between a brand name and a legal generic, as per the ops original question.

Is that correct ?

Yes.

Generic not approved and fakes will often be one and the same.  Demand from tourists unfamiliar with Thai generic brand names has led to a lot of counterfeit Kamagra etc.
